Fun-Filled Competitions at The Barclay Olympic Games

The Barclay at SouthPark residents jumped  right into one of the community’s most anticipated traditions, The Barclay Olympic Games. Launched by Liberty Senior Living in 2018 for its independent living communities, the Games are designed to stimulate movement, mental engagement, and meaningful connections among the residents. This year we introduced ALympics for Briar Creek at The Barclay assisted living residents.

Excitement built ahead of the Games with a lively Spirit Week featuring Mix It Up Monday, Tropical Tuesday, Western Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Team Colors Friday.

Friendly competition filled the week with events including shuffleboard, pool volleyball, races, and more.

Top independent living competitors advanced to Raleigh in March to represent The Barclay at the Liberty Senior Games at Hayes Barton Place.
