A Weekend Filled with Heartfelt Steps

The Barclay and Briar Creek came together for a powerful cause over the weekend. We joined the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease at Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte, making a significant impact. 8 of our wonderful Barclay residents and 1 Briar Creek resident walked alongside us, with Emma, our Briar Creek resident, being honored as the blue flower in the ceremony.
Every flower carried a profound meaning:
- 🧡 – Support for the cause
- 💛 – Caregiver
- 💙 – Living with the disease
- 💜 – Honoring those who’ve passed away from Alzheimer’s
- 🤍 – A symbol of hope for a cure
Our dedicated staff members from Briar Creek and Barclay also joined in the walk, showing their unwavering commitment. Although our team’s website count doesn’t accurately reflect it, we’ve already raised over $4,000 towards our goal of $5,000 by year-end. Together, we’re making a difference.
