 Briar Creek at Barclay (Daughter)There is nothing like this place near where I live.  The management has been incredible and has answered all of my questions.  Then send me the menus each week and allow me to pick out mom's meal which I'm really grateful for.  The different activities they have to offer and the people who run the activities are amazing.  They are super friendly and fun things for mom to do.  Her room is perfectly clean every time I'm there to visit.  The maintenance has been outstanding.  This is just an amazing place for my mom to live and I have recommended it to everyone!

I’m amazed at the beauty of this community and its location is so peaceful and yet surrounded by so much in the SouthPark area.

I am enjoying many aspects of living here. I find the employees to be very kind and helpful; the food is delicious and I look forward to spending time with new friends each evening in the dining room; there are a broad variety of activities during the day and outside activities as well.

The Barclay is a great place. It’s beautiful and the staff is amazing. Growing old is not easy; if we have to, this is the best spot. If you enjoy joining and doing or being quiet, it’s all up to you. You choose your lifestyle.

What an adventure! I have developed new challenges in recreation and health activities as well as renewed interests from the past and developed new interests for the future…all within an atmosphere of new friends and caring and knowledgeable staff. I feel I live in a first-class resort!

Retirement here has been made easy and fun! We have so many things – meals, activities – that are readily accessible. And the residents and staff both are wonderful, diverse and friendly.

Briar Creek at Barclay My relative has been staying at Briar Creek at Barclay short-term rehab facility for a week. It’s a brand-new facility (opened March 2021), with state-of-the-art equipment, great staff and a high staff-to-patient ratio. The level of attention staff pays to my relative is far greater than anything I would ever have expected. Our children, ages 3-7, were even permitted to visit in a private area to celebrate a birthday dinner. This place is more like a Ritz Carlton (service, food quality and facilities) than a healthcare/rehab facility. Most importantly, my relative is on her way to walking again. My relative likes it so much she is likely going to stay at the property for independent living.

We discovered The Barclay at the perfect time for our parents, and it has been an ideal fit for them. They have a beautiful and comfortable home, and they really enjoy the people and activities in the community. We appreciate having them nearby after many years of living in different states. Rather than only seeing them a few times a year for holidays, trips, or vacations, we are now able see them much more frequently and enjoy more time together. The Barclay has been a real blessing to us all.

My husband and I have lived at The Barclay for 18 months and have loved every minute of it. The staff is so friendly and helpful; there are top of the line wellness classes; creative and fun events (a new movie every Saturday night); the meals by Marcelo are equal to any fine dining restaurant; the convenience of having all amenities under one roof are fabulous especially in bad weather; having Briar Creek, our health center, “down the hall” makes attending PT classes or visiting sick loved ones easy; having transportation to events, shopping and doctors’ visits; concierge service 24/7; the seven day per week valet service (the valets even help with your purchases); and a feeling of total security all make living here the best. And not to forget, the location of The Barclay in the heart of SouthPark with premier shopping, banks, gas stations, some of the best restaurants in the area, pharmacies, separate health services, and an adjoining hotel for your guests and so much more cannot be beat. And most importantly, the wonderful people we have met, both residents and staff which complete our happiness at The Barclay at SouthPark. There is never a moment to be bored but you are free to have a busy or laid back happy day.

Oh, my goodness! I do love my retirement life at THE BARCLAY! After two years living in my perfect-size apartment, I enjoy every day as a vacation day! Whether I choose exercise classes, life enrichment activities, visiting with friends, or reading “at home” with my schnauzer-mix pup, my days can be relaxing or active. I can also take our “SouthPark Shuttle” for shopping or fun! I continue to be impressed with our competent employees in all departments, and of course, the outstanding meals prepared by an excellent dining chef and staff. I am very happy I made the decision to “downsize and move” to THE BARCLAY AT SOUTHPARK!

Briar Creek at Barclay I cannot say enough good things about the Briar Creek at Barclay. From Tyler in PT, Temicka- the head floor nurse, the night receptionist, Judy, the social worker and really everyone! These were just the people that I remember their first names. The facility was very clean and the food was very good. The rooms are very spacious and easy for people to move around in. The views are beautiful as well. Thank you for taking such good care of my loved one!

Briar Creek at Barclay Our experience at Briar Creek at barclay couldn’t have been better, starting with Maxine’s initial call with detailed information and offer of support. Never having been to Charlotte and dealing with mom’s emergency surgery was stressful enough, but the care and attention she received those 3 weeks was the very best. Nurses, DR & PA, CNA’s, PT/OT, Aides, cleaning & transport staff – were kind and helpful 24/7. Above and beyond were Taylor & Judy, who facilitated our care to get back to WI ahead of schedule to be closer to family. The facility is wonderful but staff is the best part.

The Barclay is simply exceptional! Without a doubt, it’s one of the best senior living facilities I’ve ever experienced. The attention to detail they offer in every aspect of the senior living journey is remarkable. From the beautifully maintained surroundings to the warm and caring staff, everything is top-notch. One thing that truly sets The Barclay apart is their amazing therapy staff on-site. They also prioritize wellness and activities, ensuring residents lead active, fulfilling lives. It’s evident that they genuinely care for each individual’s well-being. It’s a true haven for seniors, where every day feels like a celebration of life. Highly recommended!

Visited The Barclay to have dinner with my sister last week. Such a beautiful place with very attentive staff. The staff knew everyone’s name! Dinner was delicious with the right amount of ambiance. This place is better than 5 stars!
