A Celebration of Art: The Lady in the Hat Exhibit
The Lady in the Hat Art Exhibit returned to The Barclay at SouthPark for its second year, transforming the community into a celebration of creativity and storytelling through art. The exhibit featured the work of resident Barbara Miller of Briar Creek at Barclay. Guests enjoyed wine and cheese while exploring the collection, which also raised funds for the resident Music and Arts Committee and the Briar Creek Music and Art Fund, each of which received $2200.
The display reflected Barbara’s remarkable artistic journey. A dancer, ordained minister, and accomplished artist, her work has been exhibited at the Morris Museum of Art, Passaic County College, the Unitarian Fellowship of Morristown, and Nabisco Headquarters. Barbara attended the event wearing her signature hat, a butterfly brooch she sculpted herself, and a proud smile, warmly greeting guests throughout the evening.
The exhibit closed on a joyful note, reminding everyone that creativity does not retire, it continues to inspire, connect, and grow within a community that celebrates it.
