It was a pleasure to have Robin Woodell and Richard Kennell,join us for brunch at The Barclay. They are the owners of
Emerald Financial Group. Guests were invited to enjoy this educational seminar to learn more about planning for retirement living. Enjoying a delicious brunch prepared by our food and beverage team was a plus.
Saturday night got a little better with a happy hour and live entertainment from Carolina Ridgeline. They had us singing, clapping and feet tapping all night long.
The Barclay turned into a beach destination for an evening. We had a beautiful beach backdrop, delicious tropical rum cocktails and food. Not to mention Rum Trivia!
What a beautiful night at The Barclay!. The weather was perfect, the drinks and snacks were delicious, the live entertainment was fantastic and the fellowship was memorable.
Supporting our local farmers is important for numerous reasons. It helps support the local economy, it’s a safer food supply and the produce is fresh and delicious! This weekend, the residents and staff of The Barclay and Briar Creek enjoyed fresh peaches from our local farmers market.
On National Watermelon Day, residents and staff enjoyed watermelon treats. These included freshly cut slices of watermelon , as well as, a refreshing cup of watermelon lemonade. We also learned how beneficial watermelon is for our health. We were blown away by the sight of a yellow watermelon!
We celebrated with a beautiful assortment of cheeses, meats, dried fruits and crackers. The Dining Department prepared a platter for us. The wine chosen for this event was inspired by residents. Their preferences are regions in California and Italy. It was a fun way to celebrate the holiday and to be in touch with friends!
“Art with Henry” allows our residents to express themselves and embrace their inner artist. Henry will be teaching us art history along with basic painting skills, all while having fun.
Abbott’s Frozen Custard of Tega Cay Food Truck came to The Barclay and Briar Creek to cool us down on this hot summer day. Residents and Staff got to enjoy a delicious frozen treat!
